Can time stand still?

Oh sometimes how I wish it would.

Time is the only thing in life we have absolutely NO control over. The clock will always tick and days and years will always go by way too fast. Don’t you just wish we could freeze it sometimes?

Last night I realized how fast my little love is growing. He has changed so much in the 7 weeks he’s been alive. I’m so excited for him to be able to run and play, but I also love this newborn stage. I love being able to hold him and cuddle him.

Here he is at 2 weeks old. Nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby.

Since I know time can’t stand still, it won’t ever stand still, it reminds you that every “hard” stage will pass eventually. Never take any other those special moments for granted. Kiss your baby a few extra times today, because time will always move forward.

  1. That’s right…when it’s the middle of the night and you are at your wit’s end remember this is all fleeting and will be a memory soon enough. My oldest is 18, my baby is 3.5..I know this very well.

  2. I know exactly what you mean. My daughter is 9 weeks and everytime I say “I can’t wait until …(she talks, walks, etc.) I catch myself and hold her close. I know when she can walk she won’t be nestled against me in the moby wrap while I visit blogs!

  3. so true!! that’s one of the reasons i think i keep having babies. :0) i haven’t been out of the baby stage for four years! :0) and am LOVING every minute of all of the stages god’s given me!
