As mom’s, we’re often short on time. Making elaborate nutritious meals and snacks isn’t always easy and on the top of our to-do-list. If you have snacks in the fridge already prepared and ready to go, you and your kids are more likely to eat them instead of running to the supermarket to grab a bag of cookies ’cause you’re just so hungry!
For those of us (aren’t we all?!) working on our Body After Baby , these meals are also wonderful! They’re easy, tasty, nutritious, and low in calories.
Here are a few of my favorite kid friendly/weight friendly snacks.
-Hummus and crackers or veggies
– String Cheese
– Celery with peanut butter ( add raisins for ” ant’s on a log.”)
– Trail mix (granola, peanuts, raisins, dried fruit, etc)
– Rice cakes
– Fruit smoothies
– Egg whites
