My Husband Thinks He’s Funny…

very funny.

So, apparently he thinks it would be fun to give Lucas a baby sister.
Like, right now.

Of course I just look at him with a blank face. Half of me saying, Are you freaking kidding me??? And the other half saying, Seriously! Really! Okay, let’s do it!!

You can interpret that however you want.
But his comment just makes me love men.
Something along the lines of, “You do all the work anyways…”
True Honey. I carry our child for 9 months and then give birth. True Honey. I gave my hips and boobs up for this baby. So True.
Now, please go rub my feet, cook me dinner, make the bed, watch the baby all afternoon, clean my car, rub my back, do the dishes, vacuum the floor, wash the diapers, and while you’re at it- fan me.

  1. Mine cooks dinner & gets me water…& is doing most of the packing while I sit here nursing the baby. 🙂 I'd be really happy if he wanted another baby…just not for a couple years. I like being able to completely avoid formula & I couldn't if I got pregnant.

  2. Ha! Sounds like you have a great hubby!!

Your blog is jsut adorable… I really like the colors and layout and hand at the top and well, just about everything!

    God bless-

  3. Ahhhh.
When my little boy was 6 months old we thought it would be really fun to give him a sister so we did! It was the best (and craziest) decision!

  4. LOL! We decided when my daughter was 8 months old that we would throw caution to the wind and not use protection- I mean, I was still nursing and hadn't had my period yet, so I was safe, right?? Wrong… whenever that feeling hits it is your body letting you know how fertile you are at this very moment in time. I got pregnant immediately and now have 24 month and 8 month old girls… #2 is the sweetest baby ever!! Go for it!

  5. i say go for it as well. :0) it's so nice to see ppl encouraging you in that. but let me warn you, not everyone is so nice! it's usually from 'us moms' who also have babies 'close in age'. people look at me like i have the plague and have four kids under four. should i tell them that i'm actively trying!?! no. i'll just wait til i'm pregnant and watch their jaws drop again. :0) go for it!!

  6. Very, very cute! My husband was actually the opposite. He quite liked being kid-free and was reluctant to give us our (I think he meant MY) independence. Once he did, though, he was so glad and loves being a daddy (a good part of the time, anyway).

Oh, by the way, I got my button code fixed so you can replace it if you want. It will link back to me now! Thanks again for letting me know about that and for posting it!

  7. Do it!! 🙂 My son was 4 months old when I got pregnant with my daughter (while I was on the Pill) and she is totally worth it. Plus, it's so awesome now that they are older (sort of) they play together all the time which makes my job so much easier!

  8. My husband said the same thing to me not long after our son was born, I rolled my eyes. Six years later we had another one.

  9. See … when I first read this …. I thought it said baby sitter …and I saw nothing wrong with that!
Natural Family Planning momma here … my children are 14, 3, and 1 year old twins.
