Body After Baby: A Before & After Picture Challenge!

Welcome to another week of Body After Baby! Hello to all the new people here with us today! I’m so glad to have you here, and I’m so excited to get things going once again. I’ve covered quite a few different aspects of health/nutrition/exercise in this Body After Baby challenge. This week I want to talk about how to get the body of your dreams. Is it possible? Did childbirth ruin your body? Are you doomed?
I don’t think so.
With proper nutrition and exercise, I believe you can completely transform your body. I should really practice what I preach. Goodness. I have lost all of my baby weight, in fact I’m even a couple pounds under that but my body shape hasn’t changed that much. I mean, it’s smaller obviously, but I am still flabby. That’s because I’m eating less food but not the right foods. I also believe weight lifting really really helps shape your body and tighten it up!
As an example- you can have two people weigh exactly the same but look completely different. Does that make sense? So since I have reached my weight goal- my goal now is to change my body. I also want to change the inside. It’s like if we could see our arteries and the way our heart and lungs were working. Then we could see the difference in them after a change in lifestyle or eating habits. I bet the doctors on Oprah could do that for us. Hm, I’ll work on that.
To encourage and motivate you to join in the Body After Baby Challenge this week, everyone who enters and blogs about it will be entered to win a $5 gift certificate to Target. I will select a winner next Monday via Random.org. If I have more than 15 participants I will select two winners- each will win a $5 gift certificate. I know many of you have thought about joining, so here is your chance! There is no better time to get healthy then right now!!
In your Body After Baby post you can talk about your goals for your fitness, health, or weight. You can talk about how much weight you want to lose or how many days a week you want to exercise. You can talk about ways that you’re going to make that happen, how you’re doing this week, and any struggles you’re dealing with. Or anything else you want – those are just ideas!
It doesn’t matter how many months postpartum you are- I don’t care if your kids are five years old! Anyone can join! Body After Baby is about health, fitness, body, self esteem, and learning to love those stretch marks and saggy skin! We are hot mamas!
There are a couple rules, so pay attention.
1. The link you leave must be your Body After Baby blog post. This means you have to have a blog to leave your link. Leave your post url link not your entire blog link.
2. You must mention the Body After Baby challenge some where in your post and you must link back to my blog.
3. You must visit at least one other blog that’s doing this challenge and leave a comment with words of encouragement, support, or motivation. (You don’t need to tell me what blog you do this on- I trust you.)
Please follow these rules so I don’t have to delete you- I feel like a big meanie if I do! If I do delete your link – just fix it and do it again!
If you want to grab my button to put on your blog you may- it’s not required though.
If you have any questions just ask me. If you don’t follow these rules, I will delete your link and you can do it again. To be eligible to win the $5 GC to Target make sure you leave your link by the end of this week!

So, join the challenge, meet other moms going through the same thing, get accountability and support, and reach your goals!!
Would anyone be crazy enough to take before and after pictures?? I was thinking of having some sort of “biggest loser” or “biggest change” competition. Or even something like “best lifestyle change” or something along those lines? (Because we know this challenge is not just about the numbers on the scale.) What do you think of that? I thought it would be fun to have awards and we could all nominate our favorite participant?! We would need different categories as well. Wouldn’t that be fun? If we decided to do this it would be an eight week thing- we would take pictures and we would “end” the competition with “after” pictures. It would have a start date and an end date so we would all be on the same timeline. I think this would be awesome!! I would even take before and after pictures if YOU did!! Wouldn’t that be a HUGE motivation?? To take pictures!! If you have any ideas or think that would be something you’re interested in- let me know by emailing me or leaving a comment. I’ve talked to a lot of you on twitter and you guys seem interested! In fact, I was AMAZED at how many of you said you would be in!! I joke that I have the best readers in the world, but seriously I do. First you tell me about your sex lives and now you’re willing to show me a picture of you in a bikini??This 8 week picture challenge would need a fun name too! Email me if you have any ideas! The winner of each category or of the overall competition/game (depending on how we do it) could win something awesome to further help them with health and fitness!! Or could just be the winner of getting your Body After Baby back!!

  3. This is so fun! I'd have loved to have done this but i actually LOST weight while pregnant so looked better AFTER baby.

    This time around I think it will be really different so stay tuned and i'll show you what happens in 9 months, round 2 πŸ™‚

    I am going to try to get a before picture added to my post, but it might have to be a stand in front of mirror and shoot type pic because I don't imagine that spouse really wants to take this picture for me, lol!

  7. What a great idea! I've really been feeling lately like I need to do something to help my “insides”. Needing some motivation!

    I would have to pass on the pic, lol! The twins about wrecked my (used to be favorite body part) tummy and I haven't gotten used to it's new state annnnnd it embarasses me πŸ™‚

  9. I'll post a picture, come on moms we all have our trouble areas but this is real motivation. Remember how good it will look next to the after picture in a few more weeks.

  10. I am 4 1/2 months postpartum and only about 10 lbs away from my pre-pregnant weight, but like you, I want to shape and tone my body. I have a weakness for dark chocolate, but mostly eat a pretty good diet. I have started a walking routine and want to add to it. Let's go!

  11. I have windows movie maker 2.6 and windows live movie maker although windows movie maker 2.6 is preferable as i find it easier to use! I was wondering if anyone knows how to rip videos off youtube (virus free) =) and put them into windows movie maker 2.6 and edit them and stuff. any help would be gratefully recieved! =) lol xxx [url=http://gordoarsnaui.com]santoramaa[/url]
