Last Week of Fit by Labor Day Challenge

Holy Batman! How has it already been almost 8 weeks?!
I found my old race bids today. I keep all of them as a memory, motivation and reminder of all my runs. I dug them out and put them on my bulletin board above my desk to remind me daily of my goals.

I also found my medals for the half marathons I’ve done! This really motivates me and encourages me to continue running! I love running, but sometimes I get in a funk and it’s hard to snap out of it. Seeing my pretty medals is just what I needed! I need to add another to this collection!

Do you have anything that you put up that keeps you motivated or reminds you or your goals? I’m such a visual person, that seeing things like my medals and race bids shows me that visually I ran and completed my goals of running those races.
And how are you doing this 7th week of the Fit by Labor Day Challenge? I am SO excited to see all your after pictures! I know, no matter what, you guys look beautiful! And don’t worry, even if you didn’t reach your goals, we can still frolic along a field of tall daisies sipping pink margaritas (what are pink margaritas?) and shake our tail feathers. I know you were worried about that. We did give birth after all, so we can do whatever the heck we want.
This is the last week! What do you say you write about it? This will be the last week that Mr Linky is here, so share with us your progress, how you’ve done, what you’ve been doing, and what your plans are now! Please link back to my blog in your post! Don’t forget to send me your “after” picture by Friday!

  1. I am a very competitive person so just being a part of this challenge was all the motivation that I needed to suceed in my weight loss and fitness goals. To continue after the challenge is over, I plan on competing in 5k's.

Wow, half marathons! Way to go, Samantha! I see another medal in your future!

Thank you again for all of your support and encouragement. You've helped me get back in shape and I greatly appreciate that!

  2. I'm still with you, just lurking! I've been taking time off my blog, but still running. A motivation for me was to write up and post a schedule, to make sure I made time for exercise. I have been running almost every morning, and although I'm not losing many pounds, I'm definitely slimming down. If I manage it, I will write a blog post this week about my experience. In any case, I will definitely get you an “after” pic by Friday. Thanks so much for hosting this challenge! I love the added incentive!

  3. Those are great!!! I have a few medals and trophies that motivate me as well, but what is motivating me the most is the marathon I am training for, not even for my own benefit but for the little girl I am honoring the race 🙂 I can't wait to see the progress I made, it will be so rewarding. I may have not lost a huge amount of weight but I have gained self confidence and determination to join and complete this training and take it easy in life, the weight will melt away if I continue to be active and eat healthy. No crazy diets though! 🙂

  4. Wow, only 5 comments – I have been following a couple other people who are still doing this they just aren't stopping by here 🙂

I am a visual person too, but never been an athlete. Being on here gives me the reminder to get off the computer and get active!

  5. Just wanted to thank you for doing this. You rock! Can't wait to see everyone's results. I'm inspired by your medals. I need to have a new challenge to keep me moving forward. hmmmm….

Way to go to all the mamas who stuck with it and made positive changes in their lives and bodies. I worked hard the past 8 weeks but have been losing steam these last few days, but seeing the difference in my after pics was really inspiring to keep going!

Thank you again for all your work on this Samantha!
