Game Day

Saturday was game day and it was such a wonderful day! My husband finally had a weekend off so we were able to go as a family.

I love game days.

You might notice that my husband and I are matching. I secretly planned that. Just imagine; my husband got dressed first and when I saw what he was wearing I got the most brilliant idea.

I got dressed and walked in to the room and with my arms out wide like a big production I said, TA DA! I wish I could explain the reaction of my husband’s to you. He was thrilled. Absolutely thrilled. He loves matching with his wife.

And then I put some light blue overalls on Lucas and added orange and my heart was about to explode with cuteness. I can hardly stand it.

I can’t get him to ever look at the camera. But look at him, holding that football. Oh my oh my.

He has recently discovered his tongue and loves to stick it out.

I think it’s pretty absolutely incredibly cute.

I think this is such a cool picture. I just love him to pieces.

Beavers win and we go home as a matching family of 3. Except against my will my husband had to put on his jacket so now we’re not quite matching. I need to work on getting Lucas to look at the camera as well. Oh goodness.

  1. My husband waits to see what I am wearing and then dresses accordingly- similar color story, but not perfectly matchy-matchy. Then we make sure the kids are also dressed along the same lines! It's a great way to have your family look pulled-together without really trying! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. LOVE these pics! Your family is so sweet. Hubby is NOT a matching type!

I have a Beavers sweatsuit that I'm just waiting for Jordan to grow into. It's so sweet! Logan's godfather went there and sent it to him when he was a baby. (My aunt, uncle and cousin live in Monroe)

  3. the car seat safety nut side of me can't help but comment… please double check that lucas' straps are tight enough! pull up to get the slack out from around his hips. you shouldn't be able to pinch any slack vertically at the shoulders. marathons are great seats, but the harness system can be a little difficult to tighten fully sometimes, especially around bulky clothes. the chest clip should be up by his nipples, not by his belly!

i love your blog, please forgive me for mentioning this… i just want to make sure your sweet guy stays extra safe!

  4. Lucas is such a cutie! Boston's just 3 months behind, so it's fun seeing what he's doing and what I have to look forward too:) Love the matching Beaver clothes!
