Pumpkin Baby

I’m not going to tell you I took over 250 pictures of my son sitting on a pumpkin or in the hay at the pumpkin patch this week. That I sang Who Built the Ark, called his name, made funny faces and begged for him to give me a smile.  That I took say, something like, two hundred and sixty something pictures.

Nope.
But just look at these pictures. As if I did.

Love his hat? It’s from the etsy store Me and Madeline.  Check it out here or by clicking on the button on my sidebar!

I give up on trying to get the “perfect” picture. Every time I don’t try, is when I get an awesome shot. Like this one. I just love his eyes and how he’s holding that single piece of hay. And his overalls. Oh overalls. How you have captivated my heart.  I’ve learned that trying to get a baby to sit still and look at you and smile while you take a picture is about successful as me trying to wake up at 5:30 am to go running.  It just ain’t happening.
Turns out, all he wanted was his very own  pumpkin in the comfort of his very own living room. I tried to explain to him that hay and pumpkin backgrounds are much cuter for pictures than old rugs and green couches.
But he doesn’t care.
And neither do I.

I’m still accepting pictures for the Cutest Fall Baby Contest!  Get your entries in quick and stay tuned for voting some time next week!

  1. Cuteness!! I don't have any new fall pics yet..can I enter an older picture? Or doesn it need to be from this year? I have the cutest one of my DS by some pumpkins!

  2. He is sooo cute! I think I did the same thing yesterday when we went to the pumpkin patch and took over 500 pics of the kids. We just kept snapping hoping we get some great pics that way! I love seeing new pics of your little handsome guy 🙂
