One of the negative (gasp!) parts about living in Alaska is dry skin. The cold, along with washing my hands often, makes my hands rather dry. My knuckles especially, get dry if I don’t keep lotion on them.
Thank goodness for a good lotion! The Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion has been great for my dry hands. It doesn’t have a strong smell, it’s not oily or sticky and it really moisturizes my hands! It’s also made out of (90%) natural ingredients and has no animal testing. The size of this lotion is great. It’s big enough to last a while, but not too big that I can’t keep it in my purse or diaper bag if I want to. I have been leaving it my car actually and pull it out all the time!
Giveaway:
The kind folks at Skin MD are giving one of you your own bottle of this lotion!

Hope you're settling in! Alaska…wow!
Man, could my family use this lotion. We heat with wood and it is very dry heat. My hands and skin are always super dry and itchy during the cold winters here in Missouri.

I am always washing my hands and am always putting lotion on. Dear husband laughs at me because as soon as I get in the car, I reach for the lotion!

I just have to say I dont like lotion. All the one's I have tried are sticky and or oily so I tend to steer clear of it. But I would love to try one that claims to not be sticky or oily. whether I win it here or go out and buy it I will definitely be trying some of this lotion.
Living in Utah kills my skin every winter. A lotion that isn't sticky or oily would be fantastic!!

I was just about to post on Blog Frog asking if anyone knew of a good lotion product for my dry winter skin. Believe it or not, it gets cold in South Carolina, too! My thumbs are peeling!
I was just thinking today about how I need to find a good lotion for my hands this winter. I haven't been able to find one that I really like yet.

The fact that it is 90% natural ingredients sounds awesome. Winter is horrible for dry skin and I'm always looking for a better and better lotion to use.

My hands are especially dry in the wintertime and working as a nurse. My kids also have eczema. We're in KS but imagine if we were in Alaska.
Awesome! My hands are so dry now, and my daughter has horrible eczema! I'm always looking for something new to try. I'm going to write this one down!
I just found your blog and am excited to follow!
Happy Anniversary! Hope you have a great weekend celebrating!
it's dry in wisconsin too! looks like some nice lotion.
My husband says I am getting grandma hands (which I don't think is such a bad thing since I loved everything about my grandma!) but I guess he means they are always dry and cracked and look older than they are. I've enjoyed reading about your move, my uncle lives in Alaska and I've heard it is so beautiful..
