Weekend Reading

I hope you’re having a relaxing and fun weekend celebrating the new year!

Have you spent time reflecting on this past year and focusing on what you want to improve in the new year? If not, I encourage you to do so. Think about what you want to change and how you’re going to change it. Write down your goals and print them out. Remind yourself of what they are daily, and strive to reach every single one of them.

Many blogs this weekend are focusing on setting goals for themselves as we ring in the new year. I briefly showed you some of my goals that I want to accomplish this year, and I want to show you some others as well. If you haven’t thought about your goals yet, I hope these can be encouraging and motivating for you!
Engaged Marriage is hosting an 8 week challenge called Improve Yourself 2010. Week 1 is under way with setting smart goals. These steps are vital for reaching and succeeding  your goals!
Sign up for Improve Yourself 2010 over at Engaged Marriage before January 5th! In doing so you’ll help yourself reach your goals and you’ll also be eligible to win some great prizes!
Also, head on over to Enemy of Debt and let him know that you joined the challenge and you’ll be entered to win $100! Look at all the goals that Enemy of Debt has for the new year!
My Super Charged Life recently wrote an article on how to overcome stress that I enjoyed. Ya’ll know I have been really stressed this last month with moving!
Organizing Your Way is starting a series called 31 Days of Organizing for a Better Life. Each day in the month of January a different blogger will be sharing his or her advice and tips in a specific category on how to improve and organize your life. On Sunday I’m writing about why you should exercise more, so stay tuned for that!
Although I don’t homeschool right now, and I don’t ever plan to, I love reading homeschooling blogs. Raising Olives has been giving me a ton of great ideas lately on educational activities. I might copy this idea for rain gutter book shelves for Lucas’ room. Isn’t that so neat!
And, remember how I asked you about helping me decorate my house? Well, we’re still not moved in yet but I’m so excited to get ideas from you! In the meantime I have been getting tons of ideas and inspirations from Young House Love
I know I’m leaving you with a lot of links here, but I love being able to share great reads! Have you read an inspiring or helpful article this week? If so, leave the link url in the comments so we can visit. And thanks for the great recommendations!
Also, so far 37 of you have started the year off right by writing about your Body After Baby goals. Please try to visit as many fellow bloggers as you can. Follow, leave an encouraging or helpful comment and introduce yourself!
Happy reading and have a great weekend!

  1. Even though I don't have a kid I am all over half of these links. And I'm glad you found Young House Love. I was obsessive about it when I started decorating my house.
