Decorating a Wall with a Photo Collage (Share Yours!)

In my opinion, a home can’t be a home without pictures. At least, my home can not be a home with out lots of pictures. I love pictures. They capture moments and savor memories.

When you first walk into our house, you’ll see a photo collage wall. It has several family pictures – mostly of Lucas!- and in all black frames. I didn’t measure any placements of these frames, (that would take too much time and patience for me!) I just started nailing and hanging frames. And honestly, I like it that way!
I want to eventually play around with different frames. I would love a wall of all different sizes and colors of frames. Something totally mismatched yet flowing together. Our main wall in our eating area is still totally blank and I’ve been trying to decide what to put on it or how to decorate it
I love black and white pictures. love love love them. I have another small set of pictures in our family room that are all black and white. I also want to put some pictures in Lucas’ room.
You can never have too many pictures. Instead of taking out old pictures and replacing them with new pictures, I want to just add to the collage. Each picture I put up is one I love for one reason or another so I don’t want to get rid of it!
If you have a photo collage in your house I would love to see! Share it with us.. or send me a link of someone else’s collage that you love! I would love to get more ideas! Please make sure that your link is going to your actual post url link- not your home page.

  1. that's gorgeous, thanks for sharing – my DH and I were talking about decorating with photos so this is an inspiration at the right time!

  2. We don't have very much room for photos. Sad but true. In our hallway we have 4 mirrors on one side and the other has a sconce. Our entry way has 4 photo frames Of course NEAT and organized, and out living room has a projector which is 180″ and an entire wall. There's not much room for pictures in here either.

I do agree though, pictures are awesome in a house. We just don't have much room for them!

  3. I have words intermixed with mine. It adds character, funness, personality, and uniqueness to each wall. I will have to take a picture and post it for you once I get it all redone after the repainting of the wall.

  4. So cute! We dont have a house and our country of residence is going to change every year (starting in august) so we don't even have any pictures printed out of our family… at all. 😦

  5. I've been thinking about having a photo wall for some time. But so far I just have a pile of framed photos in the closet.
