Lucas is 21 months old today. Which is almost two years old.
I want to remember these things.
He sleeps from 7pm- 8-8:30 every morning. He still wakes up at night occasionally. He just wants a little snuggle then goes back to sleep.
According to my scale at home, he weighs 29 pounds.
He is still rear facing in his car seat. He doesn’t like being in the car. Never has.
He wears size 2T mostly. Size 5 disposable diapers from Target and size medium cloth diapers. They are almost too small for him though!
He loves crackers.
He has recently started to read and show more of an interest in books, which I of course love. His favorite book is Go Dog Go. He will get it and sit down and flip through pages. I think he is trying to say “Big Dog” too. We read tons of books before bed.
His vocabulary hasn’t changed too much in the last few months, but there are several things that he is very close to saying. Just this morning he tried to say “bread” and “egg.”He is saying “night night mama” before bed now. I am so excited for him to start talking more!
He signs the word “please” but can’t for the life of him figure out how to say it.
He is a great big brother to Joshua. When he hears him cry he yells “uh-oh Jah Jah! Uh-oh Jah Jah!” and starts running towards him. It’s really cute. He gives him his pacifier or pushes his swings or helps me burp him.
He loves snuggling.
He loves to help his dad or I cook or clean in the kitchen.
He still takes showers with his dad sometimes. He usually showers, he doesn’t really do baths. Sometimes a combination of both if he wants and usually for 20 minutes or so.
He still throws food on the floor at the table.
He drinks milk with breakfast and dinner and water throughout the day.
He doesn’t really like meat, but he loves pasta.
He takes one nap a day for two hours. He sleeps in his crib with his lovie, a pacifier (or two or three) and a blanket which he usually puts in the corner.
He loves to dance and play the harmonica and piano.
He shows no interest in TV.
He doesn’t like sitting in the stroller. We let him walk whenever we go places and he holds our hand.
He gets very excited when he hears the door open at night. Daddy’s home!
He is a very sweet, very good kid.
I love you Lucas!!
