Body After Baby: December 8th- 14th

Welcome to week two of the Body After Baby 8 Week Challenge!

How are you doing??

I’m well, thanks for asking. I have managed to get to the gym several times this week. I’m excited to get back into running and will be signing up for a 5K in Februrary so I’m sort of training for that. I’m going to get some studs for my running shoes this weekend so I can start running outside. I think I will love running in the cold! I hope I don’t run into any moose.

I mentioned it on my Facebook page, but in case you didn’t see it, I found a pretty neat site call My Fitness Pal.  I actually found it from an iphone app late one night and then realized you can also use it on your computer. It lets you keep track of your calories if you want, your workouts, water intake and goal weight. I like that I can access it from my phone as well as laptop. I haven’t used it too much, but I want to more. I think it might help!

We are on week two and I have two challenges for you this week.

1. Write down everything you eat/drink. There have been numerous studies done proving that this helps. Do you think it might help you?

2. Cut out one un-healthy habit completely from your life this week.  Maybe it’s soda, sugar, smoking, spending too much time watching TV, eating too much ice cream… decide what it is and take it out of your life for seven straight days. See what happens!

Giveaway opportunity! Everyone who links up their Body After Baby post for this week will be entered to win a $20 gift certificate to Loved Anew Creations! There are some super adorable handmade items in her shop including hats, bibs and handbags. Seriously, check out this owl winter hat. Is that not adorable?! Most things have free shipping, so check out her site for some great Christmas presents! Too cute!

Please note that your link needs to go to your actual Body After Baby post, not the homepage of your blog. I will delete your link if it goes to your homepage.  Let me know if you have any questions about how that works!

I want to apologize to ya’ll for not commenting on all your post from last week. I’m going to try really hard this week to visit each of you and leave a comment! If you can, please try to visit a couple other people too and leave some words of encouragement or advice. We need each other. 🙂

Have a fabulous week!

  1. I love this! I can't participate yet because I still have baby in body (lol) but he's due next month and then I would love to! I actually have a post scheduled for tomorrow mourning the fact that I was told at my last appointment to “be careful” with my weight. So hard when you are starving 24/7 and crave sugar like crazy. I'm working on it, though. 🙂 I like your tips, they work for me now, especially cutting out an unhealthy habit this week and writing food down. I can do that!

  2. My week was good. If I would have put more effort the I would have seen more results, but I am not gonna be too hard on myself!! I am gonna look at the positive – cause hey – it is all about feeling good right?!?!
I am horrible at writing what I eat down, but I am gonna give up soda!!! That is a biggy for me. I LOVE soda!

  3. Better results this week, actually lost weight. I have being using myfitnesspal.com to track calories and find it very helpful. So I will continue to do so and continue to try and give up pop at home.

  4. I don't write down what I eat… I tend to keep good track of that in my head. HOWEVER I have discovered that I need to write down how much water I drink. I was drinking much less water than I thought!

  5. my week had its moments. I am still striving to get all my goals accomplished, so we will see how the balance thing goes this week since things are slowing down for me…finally.
