15 Minutes in 15 Degrees

I have been really bad about getting the kids outside lately. It’s been cold and, basically, I’ve been lazy about it. Last night I promised myself that we would get outside today. And we did!

Instead of driving to an outdoor play date- which requires much more motivation and work as you have to bundle the children up, put them in the car, drive, then take them out, put on the hats/gloves/coat, then put the baby on you, then go to play date, then un- dress, get back in car, drive home- I decide to just go in our neighborhood for a little fresh air.

It took me almost 15 minutes to get us all ready and we were only outside for 15 minutes, but it was so worth it. It wasn’t too cold but it was a little windy which was making it feel colder than it was I think.

I bet he’ll take a good nap today!

  1. it's been single digits here for days and windy, so there's a hefty wind chill in the minuses. Logan's had 2 days off school due to the roads being iced and drifted over and we haven't even gone outside to enjoythe snow because it's so darn cold. cabin fever!

  2. I've been lazy about getting the girls outside too. We were out and about Monday (but mostly inside) and I want to bundle them up and go to the Zoo – but I'm such a wuss when it comes to the cold 🙂 My goal is to get over that this week! I just got Harper new boots so we need to test them out!

  3. Christie- we should go together! I need some motivation to get to the Zoo… I don't know why we don't go often. I have a membership and it's so close to us!
