P90X: Day 3 & 4

I don’t know what it is about the weekend, but it seems like that’s when I always fall off the healthy eating wagon. Do you do that too?  At work they sell these super duper delish ginger cookies (at a gym, yes, I know) that I always end up buying and eating with pleasure. Good thing is I ate it today so it won’t be there for me to eat tomorrow! 🙂

My long run didn’t happen this morning. I woke up really tired and it was 5 degrees. Too cold. I haven’t ran in an entire week, which, considering I’m suppose to be training for a 13 mile run in 4 months, that is very very bad. I have a lot of excuses, which I think are valid (too cold, too dark, husband has been working late, etc) but what have I said about excuses and over thinking?

Stop Thinking About What You’re Going to do and Just DO. 

I should have just put on my warm clothes this morning and stopped thinking about if it was too cold. I should have gone in the morning and just stopped thinking about what time I would go, what happens if it’s cold, what should I wear… just wake up, get dressed, and GO!

I’m going to try and be better about it this week. I HAVE to run!!

But, I have been doing P90X!

P90X Day 3: 






Yesterday I did Core Synthetics which was a great full body workout. We did lunges, squats, push ups, a little cardio, some core..the whole deal. I had to push pause three different times to attend to babies, but I still felt like I got a good workout.

I also did 30 minutes on the elliptical at the gym while watching Ellen and Oprah. We canceled cable and I miss these shows!

Day 4:


Tonight my hubby and I are going to do a DVD together.  We’ll see if he handle it 😉

Tomorrow morning (Sunday) I’m going to have my husband take some “before” pictures of me so that I can use it as progress pictures. I plan to take a new picture every 4 weeks and share it here. I think that will be fun motivation and a way to be held accountable. So now I have to decide- swimsuit shot, shorts & sports bra,  shorts & t- shirt, too small bikini?

… Whatever.. stop thinking about what you’re going to do and just do.

  1. Shorts and sports bra. Don't forget to take measurements! Inches will come off quicker than pounds and may not be as noticeable if you don't see the numbers change.

  2. I just have to say your my hero in the exercise department, I can't seem to get any in when my kids are awake. And I can't do anything but squeeze in lunch while they nap.
