Oh Friday. I thought you were going to be a better day, but it’s only 3:00 o’ clock, so perhaps you have better things in store for me this afternoon. Like some chocolate and a diet coke maybe?
I HAVEN’T HAD A DIET COKE IN FIVE DAYS.
{Hi Mom!}
Today’s Workout:
I was excited going into the gym today. I got a great night of sleep and felt rejuvenated this morning. I even ate a bigger breakfast than normal (whole wheat toast w/ peanut butter, 4 egg whites and a string cheese) because I anticipated that I would have a great cardio session so I would need the extra energy.
Well. Anticipated wrong.
I don’t know what was wrong with me, but I was totally dragging!
I ended up doing 20 minutes walking at a 15 incline, 5 minutes on the elliptical and 5 minutes on the spin bike. I just couldn’t find my groove. Maybe the extra sleep last night – 11pm-8am but interrupted a lot- confused my body?! Ha. Oh well, a little something is better than nothing.
Annnnnd. I don’t know what I’m talking about.
I did P90X arms & shoulders DVD during nap time along with the Ab DVD which I will do later this afternoon. Considering how much I hate working arms, I think I actually enjoyed this workout a little bit!
Also… update on the calorie counting..
I’ve been eating way more than my intended plan of 1600. I believe yesterday I ate around 1,800-2,000 calories. I decided to step on the scale this morning to see how much damage I’ve done this week and I was so pleasantly surprised to see that I have actually lost a pound!
I love that I am eating more and still losing weight!
I’m going to continue to experiment with the numbers and keep track of what I’m doing, keeping my goal somewhere around the 1,600-1,800 calorie range.
If I were a food blogger, I would have beautiful pictures of everything I’ve ate so far today. But I’m not.
So here’s a picture of my kid!
Give me a beautiful picture of a kid over food any day! Does make me want to head off and bake a batch of cookies though …
Awesome! If you find that you don't keep losing at ~1600-1800, make sure to bump it back up to 2000!
I spent so long in the “not losing weight, keep cutting calories!” cycle before finally realizing that my problem was cutting too many calories. *facepalm*
