Well, I thought all the snow was melting and we were officinally into Spring.
But I guess I was wrong.
This morning, I woke up to snow.
Are you kidding me?
You never know what you’re going to get here.
Between the temperatures warming up and then it snowing again all in the same week, the roads are left slushy, muddy and wet. On my run last night I came home with dirty shoes and pants, and my dog was all sorts of muddy. I have a 10K race this weekend, so I’m hopeful the weather is good for that!
I really like the snow. (In the winter.. I am ready for summer to be here!) I also don’t mind the cold, actually I prefer the cold over it being too hot. 35-40 degrees is just about perfect outdoor running weather. Even through the cold and snow, I still get outside, along with the rest of my family for outdoor activities and such.
I have said it before though, and I think it snowing in April really hits home here —
If you hate the snow or the cold, do not move to Alaska.
I repeat. If you hate the cold, do NOT move to Alaska.
🙂
Haha! I was saying the same things this morning! Until I remembered where I moved from, and where I happen to be moving back to this summer. I will actually MISS the warm winters here in Alaska! Girl you ain't seen nothing until you've spent a winter in Northern Ontario Canada! 🙂
Goodness! Blowing warm air your way!
We just had snow on our walk home from school here in Toronto 🙂
I can't get over that fact that 35-40 degrees is perfect running weather! Around here (Texas), 30-40 degrees means stay inside at all cost, perfect running weather for us is more like 65-70. 🙂
Good luck on the run this weekend!!
We had snow last week here in Missouri. SO it's not just an Alaska thing. lol.
Same thing here in southern Manitoba 🙂 It WILL go away!
haha, I totally understand this post! I was born in the middle of a snowstorm…in May!

And don't move to Maine either! We had an April Fools Storm on Friday & dumped 8 inches here – the day before my half marathon!!! Ugh.
I am with you though, 35-40 degree winter running is real nice. 🙂
wow!! thats so crazy!
Trust me, I won't be moving to Alaska, lol! It sure is beautiful, though!
