The plan this morning was to go to the gym so I could lift weights while the kids played, but Lucas has a runny nose and occasional horse sounding cough, so we decided to stay home. I didn’t want other kids getting his germs, even if he’s not contagious (which he’s probably not, it’s just a little cold) I know how it is when you see another kid around your kid that is sick or coughing. — That mom.
The fresh air and sun were ‘a callin so we headed outside for a walk and soaked up some wonderul Vitamin D. Usually Lucas prefers to walk, and actually hates the stroller, but he was unusually tired this morning and kept asking for me to hold him (which I couldn’t do ‘cause I had Joshua on me) so I asked him if he wanted to go in the stroller. I don’t think he knew what that meant, but he said yes!
It was awesome. I got to go for an hour(ish) walk outside, and both boys were happy and quiet. Joshua fell asleep and I think Lucas also dozed in and out… which might explain why he didn’t nap this afternoon. Oh well, I’ll take the nice walk. It’s quite the workout pushing a 30 pound toddler in a stroller with a baby strapped to your chest! The fresh air and sun felt SO good.
Today’s Workout:
5 Mile run outside — it wasn’t my strongest run, but I did it.
I ended my run with a smoothie which was totally a-mazing. Seriously, so yummy.
Apparently Lucas thinks so too!
So, it has been ten days since I have had Diet Coke or candy. I am doing so well! I don’t want to talk about it much, because it just makes me want it more.
If I can do it, you can totally do it!!
10 days without soda and candy- you are awesome!! And, congrats on the 5 miles. Your smoothie looks fabulous. I was out of spinach this morning and settled for Greek yogurt- so not as yummy as a smoothie.
Way to go! :o) That smoothie does look good…LOL
10 days is awesome! Keep it up! I'm enjoying a mixed berry smoothie right now!!
wow I will give away soda one day
