This is part two of a little series I’m doing here, highlighting Lucas’s favorite books each week. Part one is here. I love watching Lucas find his favorite books and flip through them on his own. He remembers where his favorite pictures are, and he’ll often turn to the specific page and start laughing. I want to make a trip to the library, but I still have a feeling that won’t be of interest to him. I won’t complain about reading the same books over and over again. 🙂
He must really love his mama this week, because two of his favorites have to do with Mama and Love.
This book is a true Alaskan book. It’s especially neat, because my grandma gave it to me when I was eight years old. She wrote in the front cover the date and said she bought it for me when she was visiting Alaska. Who would have known that 16 years later I would move to that place she visited! I’m surprised Lucas likes this book, as there are quite a few big words, but something about it captures him because he just loves it!
Someone we picked up this book from a classroom or something….. anyways, it’s a short and simple book. The snowball goes down the hill and over people’s head and over the cars and lands in the ice cream shop! Lucas’s favorite part is “ Off it went and then – Oh, no!” He repeats it and laughs. So cute.
What are your kids favorite books this week?
Awww… Love You Forever was the book my mom quoted to me like every day when I was a little girl 🙂 Lucas has good taste 😉
My son loves Mama, Do you love me?
I bought it when I was in Alaska while I was engaged–a last single hoorah with my best friend!
Amazing to think that was just 6 years ago!
