And The Dog Ate It

$20 of my life I am never getting back.

{Part one of Sophie’s life story is here.}

I am so mad.

Damn dog!

If I could give you one piece of advice right now, as a mother of two boys, a wife and a dog owner, it would be this:

DO NOT BUY SOPHIE THE GIRAFFE – ESPEICALLY IF YOU HAVE A DOG.

It doesn’t have a head now.
Nor does it squeak.

I have learned my lesson.
I am never buying a teething toy (AKA dog toy) for my children ever again.
He is happy chewing on plastic blocks or race car tracks anyways.
I am also not buying anything off Amazon unless I know what it is and I’ve already seen it, felt it, tasted it, tried it, loved it, gotta have it…

Also, I’m firing my maid because she left this toy on the floor for the dog to eat.

  1. don't fire your maid. that's silly, unless you are the maid, then by all means hire someone new 😉 I'd do the same thing to get out of cleaning

  2. Hugs! We lost ours & I felt AWFUL because my Luke really did LOVE it….and it was so expensive (of course I bought mine with Amazon GCs from Swagbucks)—but I also agree with you there are SO many other things that they enjoy teething on!

  3. Firing your maid for this? Are you and the rest of your family physically incapable of bending down and picking it up yourselves? Seems logical to pick it up yourself if you see it on the floor and know that it's a temptation for the dog. Why leave it there in hopes that the maid will see it before the dog? Even if you're kidding, it's so ridiculous of you to “blame” the maid.
