We went to the “beach” today. It is amazingly awesome and gorgeous.
Getting there is half the fun! It was quite the adventure.
First, you take a 30 minute walk or so. (depends on if you’re walking with adult speed or a 2 year old speed.) Lucas kept crouching down and saying “Moose! There is a moose walking.” But, there was no moose. It was pretty funny though.
Then you walk down this very steep hill. We had to leave the strollers at top and I just held Lucas’s hand and he did fine.
Then up a little dirt hill.
And then, finally, the beach.
Do you see that little island over there? Apparently you can walk from where I’m standing to that island when the tide is out. You just have to be smart though and make sure you go when the tide doesn’t come back up…. otherwise you basically will die. I have heard stories of people walking out there and then the tide comes and the mud/sand acts as quick sand and they can’t get out of it. Pretty scary, huh? I don’t think we’ll be doing that any time soon! That looks like a long walk anyways!
Joshua says sand taste good.
The water can come all the way up to those rocks. When it’s out, you can play out on the sand/mud.
I want to go running on that trail! Imagine the view! And the workout!
This place is SO cool. A lot of people here call it the “secret” beach because I guess not too many people know about it and you have to hike a bit to get to it. Love love love!
It looks beautiful there!
