Airport Park

I’ve been putting Joshua down for a morning nap now, which seems to help him sleep better at night a little. He  has needed the morning nap, because he takes two naps a day each for about 2 hours!

{Of course, as soon after I publish this, his good naps will go away, because that’s always how it is when you write or say something good about your sleeping children. They hear you!!:) }

It’s been good having Joshua take two naps, but now I don’t have kids napping at the same time. I’ll definitely go back (and Joshua should be more ready) to one -nap- a -day- at- the- same- time- for- both kids -thing once fall/winter comes. As soon as Joshua wakes up for his morning nap, Lucas goes down for his!

Ha. Oh well.

This afternoon we went to Airport Park (or something like that – I may have just made that name up) which was — like I need to say it — beautiful! It has awesome views of the city of Anchorage!

On the other side was Mt. McKinley, but it was really hard to see.

We walked a little ways on the Coastal Trail.

Lucas sits down when he wants to take a break.

I love his outfit. Converse shoes and camo shorts. Be still my heart.

And Joshua too, of course…

Love those eyes.

You can drive right next to the airport. Tons of cars were parked. I guess it’s super exciting to watch airplanes take off? I don’t know, I didn’t understand the excitement.

If you ever wanted to know,

what it looked like for an airplane to take off from a cameras viewpoint,

Now you know. 🙂

  1. The not overlapping naps thing is SO hard. Just recently M & B had their schedules align so one of his naps is with M's. I know it won't stay that way for long though the way these little guys switch things up on us.
