(not) Good Timing

Joshua and I are sick. I don’t want to whine….. I just have a stuffy nose, sore throat and a cough. It makes me feel all sorts of crummy though, and on top of that it makes me grumpy! I don’t have time to be sick! Joshua isn’t sleeping well, because he doesn’t feel good either. I think some new teeth might be coming in too.  I feel so bad for him. 😦

My dad is visiting this weekend, so I’m in the middle of about 5 house projects that I’m trying to get done.
On top of the regular cleaning and organizing, of course.
And next week is my half marathon! I planned on getting in some great training runs this week and next. Tomorrow I have an 8 miler planned with a friend, I’m crossing my fingers I feel better by then!
Now I’m faced with that famous question….. do you work out when you’re sick? Ah, depends on so many factors. I feel like I read/get asked this question all the time, and I always have great responses (ha) but now I can’t remember what advice I give!
All I’ve had today, on top of a little water, is chicken noodle soup – which I literally almost threw up 3 minutes after eating – a yogurt and a smoothie.
Milk, banana, lots of berries (antioxidants!) and powerful (I hope…) spinach.
Time to get a little fresh air outside. That always makes me feel better. Or, at least that’s what I’m telling myself! 🙂 I’m hopeful Joshua and I can get a good nights sleep tonight! I have a big to-do-list and I need to tackle!
