Bike Ride & Salmon

Our friends watched the kids for a couple hours so my husband, dad and I could get out for some adult time. Wow! It was so fun and I was so happy knowing that Lucas and Joshua were having a blast with their buddies! Lucas did awesome when I dropped him off. He gave me a hug and kiss and said bye and that was that!
We went for a little bike ride on the Coastal trail.

Check out my new helmet. Isn’t it fancy?

A couple miles down the Coastal trail leads to downtown and this little restaurant.

It was so weird/nice to sit down at a table without any children! I actually had to focus on enjoying myself and the quiet, if that makes sense. I was so antsy and found myself getting bored. I had to remind myself, just sit here and look outside and BE! I’m not used to doing that.

I got a beer. Margarita. Cocktail.

Lemonade. Mmmmm so yummy.

We ordered this large basket of fried which we inhaled in 5 minutes. Maybe 3. They were so good.

I spy: Do you see that little body of water? It’s to the middle/right, in front of the white buildings. That is a little inlet from the ocean and people are fishing for salmon there. Ha. So funny and cool that you can fish for salmon right there. All residents can fish for free and you can literally get hundreds of salmon every summer. We are going to stock up for this winter!

Alaskan salmon is one of the healthiest foods out there and we have it right HERE! So lucky.

Speaking of salmon, only my most favorite food in the world….

This was dinner. Salmon and asparagus. A- Ma-Zing.

Followed by a good ol’ fashion game of Life. Talk about a classic.

Have a great day, see you after I pick my grandparents up from the airport and get my bib and goodies for my HALF MARATHON tomorrow!!!

Do you love Salmon?
What is your favorite board game? Any fun ones that only require two people?

  1. Jill, never heard of dirty scrabble but it made me laugh thinking of it!

I love salmon, it's one of the only fish I enjoy. I normally just bake it rubbed with a little olive oil and lemon pepper, yummmm! (Clue is always a fun game!)
