Battle Wounds

My poor foot.

First, I got a blister during my half marathon last weekend.

I’m sorry if this grosses you out, but this is the biggest blister I’ve had and I think it’s really cool/gross/weird/awesome/freaky. These pictures don’t do justice, the thing is huge!  I’ve been wearing tennis shoes the last two days (at work) which I think is making it worse. So, tomorrow I’m breaking the rules and wearing flip flops. How else is this bad boy suppose to heal?

I’ve never had a big blister before, so I’m not sure what to do with it besides take a picture at 11 o’ clock at night and put it on the blog.

Then, on Tuesday, something attacked my leg and my forehead too, apparently. I have a crazy swollen ankle. I think a bug or spider bit me. It’s getting worse. It’s also on my forehead, but not as bad. I only look like a unicorn from certain angles.

First I start aging, then today I notice a ton of freckles that have been added to my nose and now my poor foot and leg is acting up. Geeze!

  1. New freckles should be checked by a dermatologist. Skin cancer on the nose is extremely common (the Hubbles has already been warned he will be just about guaranteed to develop it there eventually, probably sooner than later…).

Sorry, I wish I had something funny to follow up with! Um… I don't know what else blisters are for if not to gross out everyone else. Pretty sure they have no other useful function. “Useful” in this case may be relative. 😉

  2. OUCH! That is all that I can think of for both! Poor thing! I have never seen a blister like that either! I cannot believe that you have been wearing sneakers. Flip flops are a NEED! Hope everything get better soon!
