So, Who Wants to Come Over and Play?

I decided this morning, that I wasn’t going to pick up any toys until after the kids are in bed. It’s just not worth the extra energy to have the family room cleaned for .68 seconds and then have it a mess again.

I think I like this look anyways.

Some days I feel like hiding in the corner with a box over my head, what about you?

  1. I don't ever pick up toys during the day! I used to pick up at nap time back when everone napped at the same time but that hasn't happened in like 2 years! Now we only pick up at bedtime. The exception to that being if we are expecting company…other than another mom with little kis who understands!

  2. I am SO with you on this one! I hate feeling like a dog chasing his tail all day long… so I clean right after I put the boys in bed.

  3. One of my favorite sayings since becoming a mom is “picking up toys while the kids are still up is like shoveling snow during a blizzard” 😉

  4. I hear you ladies! I sometimes feel like a part time Mom though because I work 8-4 so I'm only home with my Monkin from then on. But our playroom definitely starts to look like this even just from 4 until bedtime! Silas (14 m) is getting very good at helping put stuff away though, so I have to be thankful for that. Although I stepped on a Wheelie Pal that I had missed last night (in the dark) and that was NOT cool. How do you ladies with more than one kiddo do it?!? I really would like to know because DH is talking about having another one.
