Sometimes, (okay- a lot of sometimes) I find it interesting and entertaining to read about what other people around the world (or even in my neighborhood!) are doing in their lives. Call it nosy? Maybe. I know I can’t be the only one.
This post is possibly going to be really boring to some of you, but this will be fun for me to look back on in a couple years – or even a couple months- and remember these times. This is really the life with a 2 year old and 8 month old! Gosh, I can’t believe pretty soon I will be saying “two toddlers.” Crazy!
The boys both woke up around 7:30. I could hear Joshua talking and Lucas sort of whining. I kicked my husband. He sleeps with his head under the pillow so he can’t hear the children when they wake up in the morning or the middle of the night. Either that or he ignores it. grrrr. So I kicked him a couple times and he woke up.
He brought the boys into the bed. We all snuggled for a little bit, then Lucas took the covers off of me and tried to push me off the bed.
8am- Lucas gets his wagon and tells us he’s going for a walk outside.
Lucas: Oatmeal, half a banana, egg white and a handful of raisins. He really wanted raisins.
Me: 3 egg whites and a piece of toast with peanut butter
I took Lucas outside so he could do his walk thing. 8:30-9:00 (too early.)
I changed Joshua’s diaper downstairs and realized I didn’t have any pictures of him in a cloth diaper.
I fixed that.
Thank you 63 pictures of baby in green Bum Genius cloth diaper.
I put Joshua down for a nap at 10. He slept for two hours!
Dad and Lucas go to the park. They sent me this picture and said “hunting for a moose.”
While Joshua naps I —- I don’t even remember how I wasted my time during his two hour nap. I think I laid down for 20 minutes, cleaned my bathroom, put away some clothes and watched about 20 minutes or so of The Voice. Meh.
Boys came home around noon and Joshua woke up.
Peas, dried fruit and potato fries. Super easy.
We read the “Tortoise and the Hare.”
Lucas naps from 12:30-3:30. I had to gently wake him up (open his door and let the natural sounds wake him up) otherwise he would have kept on sleeping. He has been taking long naps which is great, but makes bed time a little harder.
During his nap, I run to the store for a couple items. My husband went to the gym. Not at the same time, obviously.
Joshua plays. Snack for Joshua.
Peas and mango. He also LOVED sucking on the apple.
Snack for Lucas: Yogurt
Joshua naps 3:30-4:45
Lucas and I go to the gym after his nap. I put him in the day care and swim laps for 30 minutes. Then I go get Lucas out of day care and take him swimming. We swam for 30 minutes or so. Fun!
Pasta, more sweet potato fries, milk & water, orange.
Joshua is still learning how to drink out of a sippy cup.
After dinner we go for a walk around the block. Well, it’s more like a walk half way around and then we turn around and walk back. If we go around the entire block it takes about an hour and 15 minutes at toddler speed. So we walk outside for about 45 minutes. Perfect weather. 6:00-6:45
He pushes or pulls his wagon on every walk we go on.
Bath time. 6:45-7:00
Joshua goes straight to bed.
Lucas and I read books for a while.
This is the only time we read during the day – before nap or before bed. He is too busy any other time, so I have to take advantage of the time when he’s quiet and still and likes to listen to stories. I knew he wasn’t going to go to bed till a little later since he took such a long nap, so we read books for about 30-45 minutes.
7:45- Lucas into bed. He talks for a while and finally falls asleep around 8:15
From 8-9 my husband and I cleaned!
Floors, table and chairs, oven, laundry, couches… it’s amazing what two people can accomplish in an hour!
I made a batch of pureed carrots. Yummy! My boys will love this tomorrow!
Annnnnnnd, now it’s time to relax. The day is over. An episode or two of TV and then to bed, and tomorrow we start it all over again. 🙂
Wow, that was a lot of work blogging about everything we did today! And I didn’t even take pictures of it all.
