Dried Milk in the Hair

Thank you for all your comments and suggestions about Lucas and his energy! I feel better knowing that his energy is normal and other moms have toddlers like him. 🙂 I’m thankful that there are a lot of activities here in Anchorage and I need to remember I have all these resources here and take advantage of them. There are several indoor playgrounds, bounce places, zoo membership, museum membership and more amazing parks than I can count.  I’m going to look into Kindermuisc like a couple of you suggested as well as a gymnastics class here and see if I can get him in something like that for this winter. Although, it seems like a lot of things I want to put him in don’t start until age 3, so that’s sort of a bummer.

Anyways! Nothing too exciting going around here today. I just finished sweeping and mopping the floors, doing cloth diapers and washing the towels/sheets from our guests that were here this week, all while watching So You Think You Can Dance. Love that show. I wish I could dance like that!

Breakfast: Lucas had cereal and then poured the remaining milk on his head. (*%$&!!!!!)

I did not give him a shower after this. He currently has dried milk in his hair and that’s his choice. I did take the cereal chunks out but I’m not worried about the hair today. If it starts to smell before bath time then I might start to question myself.

I love watching the boys play. It’s so cute. Lucas is still learning how to share and play with Joshua. Sometimes he does really good, other times not. I guess part of playing cars involved putting the strainer on your head — I don’t ask questions.

We said goodbye to Jaimie (that’s her up there with her brother – my husband) and her family. 😦 Sad face. We will miss them! Our house feels quiet and empty again!
I think this afternoon is going to involve a walk to the store for a few items and playing outside. Probably a visit to the park, or I might go to to gym and take the boys to the day care. I’m not sure… I hate spending $6 to put them in there for an hour, but Lucas does love to play and I love to get a workout in. Wow my life is full of lots of big decisions, huh?
See you later!

  1. Samantha, I'm a bad girl. You commented on my blog (think my post about child-led weaning) almost 2 yrs ago and I never came by to visit you. Sorry.

Anyway, if you want to talk boys with energy, we can talk about my son (now 4.5). His energy has not lagged one bit since toddlerhood, although thankfully he has a lot more self control. 😉
