Work, Movie, Crackers

I hope you all had a great weekend! What did you do? Tell me!

My weekend was busy, yet un -eventful. I actually worked a total of 21 hours from Friday – Sunday. My feet are sore! I don’t want to complain, but I’m not used to standing up that long. I’ve been having some super slow weeks from work and then matched with some crazy (or at least to me. I only work part time.) weeks because of family visiting and such. I was extremely grumpy when I went into work on Thursday.  Although not on purpose, I was being rude to people. My sour mood was rubbing off on others.

On Friday, before heading into work again, I checked my attitude at the door. I reminded myself how grateful I am for a job (although not one I’m loving right now, it is a job and I’m thankful to be bring in some money.) and for an opportunity to work in the fitness and health field. I made it a goal that night to be in a happy mood and be as nice to people as possible. I took it as an opportunity to help people and be a blessing to people in any way that I could. That sounds cheesy, but it really worked! I was in a great mood at work and I hope that people smiled because I smiled…. or something.

I was super grumpy going into work today (Sunday) but I made it through the day. 🙂

Let’s see, what else happend.

Oh. Lucas, JT (I think I’m going to call him JT instead of Joshua. I haven’t decided. I think it’s better than “meatball” which is what my hubby calls him. What do you think?) and I went to Target. I got a couple packs of $1 stickers — so cute. You have to go check them out. I also got some random other crap that was 75% off (from 4th of July) that I think I will find a purpose some where, some way, some how.

Someeeee whereeeeee, over the rainbow…..

Because my toddler loves to do arts and crafts…. um, hoping he will this winter.

I went for a walk last night around 10pm. It was bliss. See how light it is outside? It felt so good to get some fresh air that late at night. Even though it was that late, there were still kids playing outside. You would never know it was 10:00 unless the clock told you so.

And now, I’m relaxing on the couch, getting ready to watch a movie. We’re watching The Fabulous Baker Boys. Neither my husband nor I remember putting it on our Netflix queue, but somehow it showed up in our mail box. So, we’re going to see what it is… have you seen it? Is it good?

I hope it’s not like a super sexual movie or something or I’m going to be really embarrassed.

I’m snacking on these. Oh my, SO good!!

Love and hugs to all. Talk soon, friends.

  1. I know what you mean re being grumpy going into work, that is so me! I shall endevour to follow your lead and be positive at work tomorrow.

  2. After spending March through the first part of July in Seattle, I *almost* forgot how light it was up here so late this time of year! Totally thrown off the bedtime schedule around here, we're working on that 🙂

We spent most of the weekend unpacking and still have a ways to go. Fun times.

Maybe I'll see you out walking in the neighborhood this summer 🙂
