I’m not having a very good day today. In light of sharing most things that goes on in my life on this here blog, I wanted to blog today, even when I’m not in the best of moods. Not every day is full of perfect behaving children, warm sunny days and a happy mama who just got done lifting at an intense CrossFit session. Plus, I can guarantee that at the end of this post I will already be feeling better….

Thank you Dear Diary.

This morning, we went to the park.

We didn’t stay long. Joshua kept putting rocks in his mouth and Lucas wasn’t behaving.

I put them both down for a nap a little earlier than normal and thankfully they went right along with it.

I started my period today. I don’t know if you want to hear about that, but it is sort of exciting! I suppose I could say “menstrual cycle” instead if that sounds better. I haven’t had one in like.. forever, so back to womanhood I guess. Boo. I’m still breastfeeding so I wonder if this will make a difference at all in my milk? I also wonder if it will make me lose weight easier?

{Because I am TOTALLY blaming the “last 5 pounds” on the fact that I’m still breastfeeding and I haven’t started my cycle yet — and you do to, don’t lie.}

Joshua has started biting me. While nursing. I take him off and say no and, I am not kidding, he starts laughing! This is not allowed. He is going to get vetoed from the boob if he keeps this up.

Um, what else is bugging me today?

Oh – the window in our house is leaking again and causing major headaches and frustration.
There are men in our backyard-ish area building a fence and they are loud.
There are dogs in our backyard-ish are that are so freaking loud and annoying. I am not a mean person, but I’m about to throw rocks at them.

Have a great rest of your evening! I’m off for a much needed run. Hope I can burn off some of this steam!!

  1. Totally understand the “not so happy” days!! Hope you aren't to hard on yourself. Just wanted to say I LOVE all the pics of Alaska. I want to visit there sometime in the next few years!!!

  2. oh, the biting and laughing is the worst! Otis doesn't have teeth but he still chomps down with his gums and that's bad enough.

Hope your run puts you in a better mood 🙂

  3. Hugs to you! Hope that the biting goes away quickly. Annabelle bit me several times she she cut the first four, but since then has been better *knocks on wood* so hope it is the same for you. Still havent started my period, so don't know about weight loss, but it cannot hurt for the hormones to level out again. Hope tomorrow is as awesome as today was bad!

  4. There must be some cosmic event happening because my children were misbehaving too. You're lucky I got my period 4 months after my first child, 3 months after my second and 4 months after my 3rd even though I exclusively breastfeed and my youngest co slept with us.

My son laughs sometimes too when he bites but I've found if I say no in a strong voice and stern face he gets the message.

I hope the day improved for you!

  5. I ditto, you are lucky, I had pp bleeding for about 6 weeks, so through November, and then started again January so I guess at 2 months out. No fun, and it didn't make me lose any weight..

sounds like a normal day at our house, really, though, your bad day. lucky you.
