THIS is what’s happening in some parts of Alaska right now.
Thankfully, I don’t live in that area and we are all totally fine.
This has been my final sign and reminder to myself that I need to have an emergency supply of food at my house. I’m just thinking, if something were to happen right now, we’d pretty much go hungry. If it got so cold or the weather conditions got so bad that we couldn’t leave the house to get food, we’d be in trouble.
I promise I am going to get a supply of food set aside of my family in case we need it.
Side note: I totally love this song by the group Selah, it’s called Unredeemed. Go listen to it.
On the subject of songs, here’s two more that I really love:
“Dirty Dishes” by Scott McCreery and “Mr. Know it All” by Kelly Clarkson (good workout song)
It’s totally normal for me to have worship music and R. Kelly music in the same playlist.
Second side note: I am going to start P90X. No, really. Stop looking at me like that. If I don’t do it tomorrow I will give you $50.
Also, I can’t figure on what’s going on with my children!! The bowl movements that they are having…. seriously! Maybe I should not give them milk for a week and see what happens. Don’t they say poop is a sign of how healthy you are, or something? Or how your body is functioning? Gross. What is going on.
Look at them. It looks like I just plop them in the snow and make them hang out for 30 minutes.
I only do that sometimes.
Today we went to Target because I was looking for a new pair or work pants. Lucas wanted to walk, and I let him, and holly bananas…. he did SO good!! I was so happy and proud. He wanted to walk through the toys, of course, so we did and he was just perfect. He never once asked to buy anything. He said “we have toys at home.” Have you ever seen other children behaving so well and you just sort of feel awful that your child doesn’t behave that well? I swear sometimes I see two year olds walking so good with their parents and I’m like, why is mine so crazy??!! But today. Oh, today he was my perfect angel and I was like, he is totally THAT kid right now. The super sweet and well behaved boy.
So that time when I walked out of the store with him screaming because he wasn’t behaving and he didn’t get what he wanted, and I didn’t buy him that toy even though he was screaming for it… it paid off.
Booyah.
And check out this hunk of love.
He is up to six steps of walking. My husband and I have already decided that he is going to be more crazy and active than Lucas. The child will be silent and I will literally have to search my house for him. He’s up the stairs and playing in the toilet in a matter of seconds. How did you get here?? Then I find him on top of the rocking chair or on the other side of the room with the chair next to him, the chair that he pushed across the floor. He also has an obsession with sitting in drawers. In the bathroom and the kitchen, he will pull out a drawer, get in it and just sit, then throw everything out of it.
They’re a little crazy, but I love ’em.
I was wondering about y'all when I saw the news report about the weather. Glad you are not in its cross hairs.
I'm glad the storm isn;t in your area- it looked horrible!

We've been slowly building our 3 month supply but it definitely takes time. Good luck!
