Snow Machine in the Wilderness

I went on a snow machine!!!

Dude please move yourself to Alaska so you can do this with me!

My bunco group and I went to a little cabin in the middle of Alaskan wilderness ( or something like that) for the day and over night. It was such a fun little get away.

My friend owns this cabin. I seriously want to buy one. I am not even kidding. It is like the most perfect thing ever and it makes me love Alaska just a little bit more.

Look at me!

I am in the middle of the freaking world with nothing around me but snow, trees and mountains!! It is unreal.

The snow machines were so fun. We were on them for hours!

Look at all my hot friends. They have all have at least one child. Betcha couldn’t tell, huh?

That’s cause cold weather makes your face look gooooood.

Wine break. But I threw mine in the trees after I took a few sips to look cool.

Denali mountain in the background.

We couldn’t have asked for better weather. It was mid twenties and sunny!

Such a pretty view. This is the lake, which in the winter becomes… well, I guess ice with snow on it? Whatever that’s called. It’s like feet deep of ice, supposedly.

This was the only part that almost made me start swimming to the edge. Our snowmobile got stuck. And there was waaaattttter!!

Look at our footprints.

I guess it’s called “over-flow.” It means that there is so much snow that water is coming through. I don’t really know what it means, but it does sort of make you freak out because, hello, water.

Thankfully we got rescued!

These helmets kind of squish your cheeks. I’m wearing my friends husbands coat because I’ve only lived here for two years so I didn’t know you have to wear a good jacket when you go on a snow machine. But I never got cold because I’m an ice queen.

I am buying a cabin so if you are wondering where I am, maybe I’m out on a snow machine or ice skating or ice fishing or…….. or maybe I’m floating on a raft on the lake till midnight in the summer or maybe I am pulling dogs. I just never know!

(Thank you to all my friends for this day! And for the pictures, too! )
