One of my favorite things. We have about 30 books this year, yippee!
Normally I buy 1- 2 after Christmas when they are on sale. This year I got a pack of paperback books from the book fair so that quickly added 6 to our collection. 😉 But eventually I want to get all hardcover because those obviously last much longer.
So here is what I do with all these books! Last year I wrapped them all up individually and put them under the tree. (I’m sure you’ve heard of this.) Then every night the kids get to pick one out, unwrap it and read it that night. It makes it fun for them. I like this idea because then you aren’t giving them 30 books at once…. however, there were some books I wanted to read longer than the 3 days we got before Christmas. Oh, this is important, I wrapped all the books while while watching a Hallmark Christmas movie, and that combination is pretty fantastic.
So anyways. This year I am giving them several now to read whenever and putting about 2 weeks worth under the tree for nightly unwrapping.
Here are the ones we’ve collected so far!
This is one of my favorites. It is so sweet and has a great message!
I am always looking for more books to buy. 🙂 What is your/your child’s favorite Christmas book?
