Oh Sunday.

I have a post in draft mode right now that I was going to publish. It talks about how I (was/am) plan(ing?) on blogging less about my kids and their personal life and more about me, myself and my life… but who I am kidding. This is my life.

O what a Day.

Our Sunday —-

I wake up eventually, after my children force me out of bed, practically, because what’s sleeping really if you can hear two boys working on their ninja moves? My husband tries to contain them downstairs so I can have a few minutes of peace (thanks babe) but it’s just all mama mama mama all the time mama mama mama.

Pancakes for breakfasts. and eggs. Then I asked them and make them and plead with them to please.put.clothes.on. We’re going to Church, you can’t wear sweatpants but anything else is fair game. I yell, they get dress. As I drive to Church I realize the irony in that situation and it reminds me how much I need God’s Grace everyday and I am so thankful for it! Funny enough we actually get to church early. They sing a couple worship songs with me before I take them to their “classrooms.”

After Church and lunch I took them swimming.

I have a question. This is serious. Why do children complain about the water temperature being too hot when taking a shower or bath at home but they absolutely love the 101degree hot tub?!

In the afternoon we put up Christmas decorations.

My favorite part about our tree is the ornaments my kids have made. They make one every year at preschool with their picture and I just love it! Every year I say I’m going to buy monogrammed stockings. My parents had them for me growing up and I still have mine, they are so pretty! But last year my kids made their own stockings, they are pretty special and they sure love them. Don’t worry, I will make sure to pin this and put up a tutorial so you too can try this at home. 😉

I decided I’m probably not going to do the wrapping of individual Christmas books and put them under the tree thing. I don’t have any wrapping paper and I don’t want to buy any yet. So far I’ve been picking one a night to hold behind my back and then revile in big surprise mode and my kids seem to think that’s pretty cool… so winning.

Then I went to target all by myself.

And I have made it through another day.
